Oregon Issues Wildfire Emergency Order for Affected Areas
In response to ongoing wildfire activity throughout Oregon, the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services, Division of Financial Regulation, issued a Wildfire Emergency Order on July 31, 2026, requiring insurers to temporarily suspend policy cancellations and non-renewals for customers located in designated wildfire-affected areas. The order is effective through August 30, 2026.
The order applies to designated ZIP codes in the following Oregon counties: Baker, Clackamas, Crook, Deschutes, Douglas, Gilliam, Grant, Harney, Hood River, Jackson, Jefferson, Josephine, Klamath, Lake, Lane, Linn, Malheur, Marion, Morrow, Multnomah, Sherman, Umatilla, Union, Wallowa, Wasco, and Wheeler.
